Hard to tell. I don't see the typically strong "Bars forming an Oval" that I see on all of my other Labuan stamps. I admit that it may be very light in the upper right corner. In addition, I see a strong vertical line through the left 5, Postage, and all the way from the top to the bottom of the stamp. Anything of interest? (I see this as Scott 76, used).

Looks like a die full crack on the left side. Odd cancel or perhaps just a dirty stamp. Is it full gum? |

I agree that it looks Used, and probably CTO with a light copy of the bars. Unfortunately, Grandma had a tendency to "lick and stick" in those older days, before she knew what a stamp mount was. Therefore, most of my stamps are carefully pulled from the page. In this case, the underlying page is still stuck to the back of the stamp. So, based on this, I will assume used.
Thanks for indentifying that it could be a plate crack. I didn't see anything in my Stanley Gibbons (or Scotts) to indicate such. Since it is such a fine, thin, straight line, it is confusing. |

I think I see the start of another barred cancel in the bottom margin, at the far right side.
It is a nice looking stamp, so it doesn't really matter (unless you are planning on selling it, in which case I would at least suggest the question, and let the viewer make up his or her mind). |

Quote: Certainly not remainders or Mint. Wrong! Have to agree with Collin, looks like a light remainder. From my collection "strong remainders" "Light remainders" Similar to yours, one can just make out the bars |

I've been re-examining this stamp. It is used, probably CTO. My new interest, however, is in the Perforation. Maybe someone with EZ perf can check, but I get 12 x 13. What is the Scott or SG number on this one?
As a quick, extra question ... What do you think of the left "5" in my example? Looks like a possible re-entry? |

It certainly is an interesting stamp. I think Russ is correct in saying that it is not a crack. To me it looks more like a 'Doctor's Blade' or something like it; the line looks too straight to be a scratch?

I used EZPerf on the original posting, with little success. Eventually went to the manual method (number of perfs in 2 cm). I came up with 12 1/2 x 13 1/4. Does anyone know the Scott number for this? The closest I can get is 76c which is shown as a 13 1/2-14 Compound 12-13. If correct, the Scott value is shown as "---". It is definitely a different perf than Rod222's example. Any ideas? |
