Robin Harris, the editor of The Corgi Times (newsletter of the Queen Elizabeth II Study Group under the RCPS), has asked its readers if they have examples of this issue with a red dot in the upper margin. One person purchased 10 panes in Milton, Ontario, all with this dot. The stamp's position was not indicated.
Mr. Harris asks if this is a constant variety based on similar stamps purchased in other geographic locations across Canada.
I'm asking the readers of this forum to do the same.
I have used a scan of this stamp and added a red dot of the approximate size and location, within the red box.
Please check your copies and advise whether or not the red dot appears and also list the position(s) of the stamps you have checked.
I am away from home and unable to check my own stamps.
