I have a number of questions but will do them in separate threads so maybe in the future, someone searching will come across these.

Can't seem to place the stamp below. It's an Afghanistan Lions Head but doesn't seem to quite exactly match anything in my Scott Catalog.

It is most similar to 1873-1874 Series (Type A5) - but again, not exact match... Maybe a fake?

I know early Afghanistan is difficult and I have read that Scott really doesn't have good coverage.

HI Eric,

I guess it's supposed to be Scott #12, the "year 1291" Abasi value, but it doesn't look much like the catalogue images. For example, the date "1291" appears just as "91". I think it's a not very good fake.

Not a collector of Afghanistan, but the paper and impression don't look right to me, either.
