I have been thinking about some odd stamp collections lately...
Just for my own amusement really or until one sticks and I start collecting it!

Some nutty ideas to follow...

Stamp collection with no stamps... all fakes.

Collection of covers where the stamp has been cut to change the value.

FDC's of "postage due" stamps postally used... 1840-1940 :)

I am sure this is just a really quite sane tip of a very crazy iceberg of odd collecting ideas...

Then again,... I COULD always collect only Italian motorcycles on stamps! :)

What say you good people?

Regards
Gavin

Covers with 3 or more multiples of the same stamp. Bonus point if they're in a horizontal or vertical strip.

I've been toying with the idea of collecting postmarks with my birthday, not necessarily the year but the date.

First day stamps used on an older FDC.

Who would do that?

First day of issue Xmas stamps on a 1972 Vintage Car FDC

In a similar vein. FDC's sent too late (on the wrong day).
..................I have some somewhere.

Or you could collect Air Mailed World Fair Covers (including ones that were posted from another city many years later)

Ok, how about covers postmarked one day after the fdc date? Actually that sounds like a lot of work.

I have one FDC that was dated in error BEFORE the date stamps were issued.... maybe that could be the start of a collection, of incorrectly dated FDC??
