Since the players are at spring training in Florida and Arizona, I thought we should have a baseball stamp thread. My contribution is one stamp of the Panama baseball series of 1938, and the US centennial of baseball in 1939. I think that the Panama series was the world's first that showed baseball on a stamp. yakboomer

The Philippines had a baseball stamp in 1934, Scott 380. Supposedly that is the first.

US Centenary of Professional baseball.

The Cincinnati Red Stockings were the first professional baseball club in 1869. At the time this stamp was printed in 1969, each league had only 12 teams.

I don't know if the logo created the stamp or the stamp created the logo, but it is still used by MLB to this day.
