Poll Question:

Quote:
My disappointments are when I used to get US Mint, I found that most of the circut books contained newer issues-- and I made very few purchases. The Coils I received were mostly "Transportation Coils" and I stopped both circuts.

This is a very interesting comment and I am very curious about it. Even if they have a circuit for US Classics, please vote anyway. Besides...this is my first poll!

Choices:
Would use APS Circuit for only new and used 1847-1940 stamps?
Would NOT use APS Circuit for only new and used 1847-1940 stamps?

In our monthly club circuit we average about 2 books of U.S. classics and I can not remember the last time one was purchased. Frankly I am amazed at the scrungy condition of many of the stamps and the price that is asked for them..most of those stamps are available enough..theres no need to buy a space filler !

I voted, but it strikes me your survey generally encourages folks to choose the classic option as there is no other option except what appears to be receiving nothing. You might consider rephrasing the survey to something like:

Which would you prefer:

APS Circuit for only new and used 1847-1940 US stamps
APS Circuit for all new and used US stamps
Not interested in APS Circuit books for US stamps

This part of the quote in my post is what made me think that there was no circuit book for US classic stamps but rather just one "US Circuit book" which contained mostly newer stamps. I originally wanted to know that if there was a "US Classics Circuit book", how many WW/US or just US collectors would use it.

Then the above post by philb seems to suggest that there was or is a "US Classics circuit book" but it was/is inadequate. Now I am confused.

With this confusion, to do it over, I never would have started the poll but would simply have asked if there was a "US Classics circuit book".

Hope this explains what was on my mind.

Sorry for any confusion.

Yes, there IS a circuit with this material. The APS shorthand is "USE" as in "US Early"

Thanks Kirk.

I think I have an idea now that there is one and of it's usefulness.
