Help appreciated here, please. These two are on the bay with 11+ hours to go (apologies, screen grabs only.) One low bid at opener on each. Postmarked 21 Dec 1926. Any views or comments?
When I collected Egypt, I could never afford these. Now most of my collection has been sold. They are lovely and don't look like forgeries. The cancels are First Day so maybe they are Philatelic ? Still beautiful. Shame the other values didn't accompany them !
Thank you for your quick response. I have the normal issue but none of the Port Fouad overprints, which I am not well up on. I am oh so tempted by these. They are sitting at £40 first bid on each with 10 hours to go, but I fear you are right and they will go for around £100 to £130 each if there are enough keen bidders.
Thank you. Those look very tempting. I have put them on watch. The others I posted on I didn't bid on because I found some very bad feedback on the seller. Also the identical opening bids on each and the identical fractional 2nd bids on each from different buyers put me off. Just my gut feeling about them. This set looks nice.
