It would, however, be helpful if those posting these items could indicate what region of the country the mailing was received.

Good point, wt1. I'm in Nebraska.

For the heck of it, here's the full envelope.

Ignore the blacked out part. It's a window envelope, and I had some random stuff in there when I scanned it.

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.
I collect for enjoyment, not investment.

I originally started this thread showing what I thought was an unusual postage meter indicia received on a mass mailing from Chevrolet (Permit No. 4450, Phoenix, AZ) with flyers encouraging me to purchase a new car and/or visit the Service Department at a local Chevrolet dealer in Massachusetts.

Anyway, I found it interesting that I received yet another mass mailing announcement of special deals and service incentives from the same Chevrolet dealer in Massachusetts (using same Permit No. 4450, Phoenix, AZ) but with a completely new indicia as shown below:

At this rate, I wonder if I can expect to receive a new postage paid indicia on every mass mailing this dealership sends me?

Terry- I'm pretty sure it's not a Lincoln Continental, but instead a 1939ish Ford/Mercury like the one below. (Compare the windshields)

Hi new12collector,

You are correct. It is a 1939 Ford split screen model. Rita Hayworth's drive is the 1941 Lincoln Continental. Whoever took the Ford photo was making a neat comment on the later Lincoln's cribbed style similarity to the earlier Ford. Difficult to choose between the three though.

Got to thinking about Rita Hayworth and stamps. Couldn't find any US stamps featuring her, only the not very pretty Cuba 2001 stamp. Anyway, here she is. Either of these images would look great on a US stamp. (Unless of course ther is one and I have missed it).

Here's another from AAA, this time on a large flat received in our office PO Box (again, in Nebraska):

From Capital One in today's junk mail. I kinda like this one; too bad it's so blurry.

I received the very same example of a "blurred" looking postage paid indicia from Capital One Credit Card.

As many of you will recall, I started this post with what I thought was an unusual postage paid indicia from Permit No. 4450 in Phoenix, AZ.

Then ... a few posts ago ... I provided an example of another different postage paid indicia from the same Permit No. 4450 in Phoenix, AZ.

Wouldn't you know it, that same Chevrolet sales pitch was sent to me in yet another different postage paid indicia, again from Permit No. 4450 in Phoenix, AZ:

It must be that the mailing house that's doing these promotions are using a different postage paid indicia on every new mailing. At this rate, I can start a mini collection on just the indicias I receive from Permit No. 4450!
