The plain bar cancel has been reported as having 8 bars. I have one with seven bars on piece, and so far it is the only one known around. More info sought.

It would help greatly if you could post a scan of the cancellation. It's difficult to comment without seeing it.

The illustrations of the 'Ti' cancellations I've seen all have eight bars. However, I'm not sure that this was an absolute rule. This example, for instance, appears to have traces of nine bars:

I'm not sure what to make of this. As the cancellation doesn't tie the stamp to the cover. there's no proof that the cancellation, stamp and cover all belong together. This could have been manufactured some years ago.
