My first period of philately I decided to go whole-hog (I had a good income at the time and in my 20s seemed like anything was possible) so I had bought a complete set of Scott Internationals including the Vintage Reproduction pages for 1840-1940. Then in the early 2000s as I was starting my own business I made the (now highly regretted) decision to sell my stamps to use as seed money for the business. I sold the stamps, but kept the album pages, thinking maybe one day I'd go back to collecting.

Now I've come back to collecting, but have decided I rather prefer the look of organizing my collection in stock books rather than album pages (more flexibility in arrangement of pages, no need to buy expensive stamp mounts). So I basically have a run of stamp album pages for just about every country in the world based on Vintage Reproduction/Scott Internationals up to the late 1990s. (Only exception in USA, which I sold the pages along with the collection).

Now, among the decisions I had made when I had the pages was to shift them over to 3-ring binders, one for each country, thus I punched the pages with a three-hole punch and trimmed the right edge so that they all fit in standard binder. Also, for the earlier pages which did not have Scott numbers included in the spaces, I notated the Scott numbers. And of course a lot of the pages have Scott mounts still on the pages. So pristine pages they are not.

Is there a market for pages like these. I hate to just throw them away, since I'm sure they could make nice albums for someone, but not sure if there is any market demand for used album pages like these, especially since they are well, pretty well worn (for some countries that I had near complete, you could almost call the pages hingeless since all the Scott Mounts are still on the pages).

Hi!
YES, there is a market on ebay. I've spent the last few months hawking the site for Scott albums and picked up 4 of them. The pages would likely sell fairly easily. The question is, to sell as one bunch or to break them down into alpha groupings. Good luck!

Those Vintage reproduction pages 1840-1940 ("The Browns") would definitely be sought after. Don't throw them away! For the person that would like a space for all the stamps issued 1840-1940, they are a good choice.

I have found empty albums can be tough to sell on ebay. The shipping charges are often more than what you can get for the albums. Check to see if there are any stamp clubs in your area. I have bought some albums on ebay, but the seller did not get much. I have sold albums at a club auction and did much better. Then again it amazes me what some albums go for on ebay that have stamps included. They can be absolute crap and damaged and they will get bids. Obviously those sellers don't care about continued sales with their buyers.

Well the pages are all organized by country so I'd prob sell them as country albums.

So for ex Canada would be pages from 1851-1999 plus pages for the provinces as well.
