Front page of the July, 8, 1866 isue of the "Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Barcelona" (Barcelona's province official newspaper. On the right it can be seen a mark (printed before the actual newspaper print) with the then Spanish arms and a value of 3 escudos, allowing the paper to be sent on domestic mail.
The same paper but from a June 1872 issue. It can be seen the the arms on the headlines have changed, as the king of Spain was by then Amadeo of Saboy (Italy). Hence, the Saboy white cross on the arms, it should also be it on the mark, but it can be seen.
