Hi, I've spent the last two days merging/mixing two Scott's Big Blue Part 1 albums - page by page. I had taken the binders and copper pins off, but kept the pages in the two posts as I slowly reduced it page by page.
Ha, I noticed the posts are curved, and believe it or not, one album had the had the center of the curves closest to the outside end of the binder, while the other album had the center of the curve facing inward towards the pages...........
Hi, I'm surprised no one has replied to my question yet. While I suspect the curve (bulge) should face the pages, I'm looking for confirmation (or not) of that. If you have a Big Blue, please check it out. Thanks all, Mobilman44
MOBILMAN-----understand your problem, that is a fault in the design of the Internationals.I have run into that problem when adding pages to my different sets of internationals. The soft metal is what is causeing it to flex overtime ,if there was a market for stronger steel pins ,someone could market a new post assembley but due to lack of demand were going to have to live with it .Now thats not the case with the HARRIS line of albums ,because the post being made also of aluminum are much thicker and hold without that curve being created overtime .
Yikes! If I read you right, the curvature is the result of years of use, and the original posts were straight! Well, obviously (???) they naturally curve outwards (center bulge facing the pages)and I guess I should just keep them that way.
