Hello, this may be frivilous, but a cover found without the stamp, but still has the postal cancellation, does that still count as a philatelically, properly used legitimate cover? Nevertheless, HERE IS PART of the STAMPLESS "Day of Issue" Official First Day Cover [OFDC] showing the missing stamp and cancel, as issued by Canada Post.

Yes, it's still a cover, in my opinion.
To reduce the size of an image without a lot of fuss, right-click on the text name of the image in My Pictures, then "Open With" Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Click on "Edit Pictures," then "Resize," then save it in the resulting smaller size. I find that when one of the sides measures around 500 pixels, that generally works in SCF, unless the image is extremely tall and narrow. You can also save a bitmap as .jpg, saving a lot of grief and fiddling around trying to convert. |

That is a Canadian minted stamp from the 2000 Millinium collection with a cancellation. Am I missing something? |

My post shows a partial cover showing a missing stamp BUT the cancellation is still there , and the date of the cancellation is for the year 2010 and not anywhere near the "Millennium" period - |

I must be having a bad day as I see a stamp with a cancellation of December 17, 1999 in your first post. |

As there was no year zero (1 BC was followed by 1 AD) the third millennium began on the 1st January 2001, not 2000. So all millennium FDCs dated 1st January 2000 are errors.

HELLO ALL, My sincere apologies - I am a new member and I thought I put the right image up on my post and discovered today that a Millennium Stamp FDC, dated for Dec.17, 1999 was put there in its place. I hope that the correct image here [below and above] will resolve the matter. |

Actually, as you can see above, I have made some amendments to my original post. I did mistakenly upload the wrong image and since then have corrected that mistake. My apologies to all of those community members who were correctly confused with my initial post.I am sure that the postal administration in Canada does its best to prevent errors of its own. I know, with thousands of OFDC's prepared automatically, it is amazing that more of the kind of error that I have discovered and posted does not happen. Yes, it is a "curiosity" at best. |

Actually, you probably should have left the incorrect image in place, because now the subsequent comments make no sense. Oh, well... |
