Since the image you show is from the Saskatoon Stamp Centre shopping cart, I think you should trust their description.

They (SSC) have probably handled as much of this kind of material as any other dealer/collector/person in Canada.

If you are asking if your stamp matched the colour (and is also a 17e), it is very difficult to tell just from a scan. The paper type and true colour are not really visible in a scan.
They certainly look similar, but you would need the two samples side by side to be certain.
Sorry if that is not much help.

If you check the footnote below the listing for #17 in the Unitrade catalogue there are many shades of this stamp. So it could be quite difficult to discern a specific colour.

Quote:
There were 26 printing of No. 17... 1) nine printings in 21 shades... 2)eight printings in 16 shades... 3)nine printing in 24 shades...

The catalogue describes the perfs associated with each printings, but I wanted to draw attention to the known existence of the many shades in this issue. I have 5 copies of #17. 3 copies are definitely in the "17b brown (and shades)" category but they are all a little different. 2 of my copies I feel are of the red lilac group, but again both are noticeably different. I can post a scan of them all if you are interested.

Here's my #17 HRH Prince Albert stamps. I think the top two are more likely the plain 17 red lilac. Bottom three are more likely in the 17b brown group. The last one in the bottom row is getting pretty close to brown black, but the perf measures a definite 12, so it's not #16.
