My catalog (Scott) shows this as 1918 Wounded Soldier. Was there a 2nd printing or is 1918 the only year of this issue ? My 2009 Scott shows a CV of $8.00 each, I'm assuming that is for MNH ?

There is a forgery of this printing. The left shoulder board shows a button. But,I can not remember if it is missing or placed different without looking up in one of my books.

Taking a second look and your stamp also has a major color shift.

Much information located here.https://goscf.com/t/17544

Thanks for catching that as I didn't see the color shift. Hopefully it adds a nice premium :)

Little more on this issue. The cross should be crisp on the top of the hat and a variety of the stamp looks more like a blob or circle. Will keep looking for the information on the shoulder boards.

Unfortunately, according to the APS, all the stamps depicted in this thread are forgeries.

Here's the link: http://stamps.org/Identify-Greece

Apparently, the 1918 Scott RA45 forgery is very common, while genuine stamps, not so much.

My collection has the forgery too.

As mentioned, the epaulet on the soldier's shoulder has a distinct dot on the forgery, which is absent on the genuine.
