Has anyone ever seen this or know the history? Is there any value? I found it in an antique German book.

Thanks

Interesting.

It is from Cologne, during the Wiemar Republic. 1923 was during the height of the hyperinflation experienced at that time. These are probably pretty scarce, though the value depends on how many people collect this type of stamp. Looks like each stamp gets you .125 kilograms of bread (about 1/5 to 1/4 of a loaf).
