Going through my collection and stumbled across these. Not much value (per Scott's) but I thought the 10 centavos was interesting. Note that the bottom left 10 has an incomplete Zero that makes it look like 1C. Scott notes that this issue was known to have parts of the design omitted or misplaced. I wonder if this qualifies. In any case, some very busy, multi-layered stamps that appear to have a high potential for EFO's.

That can not be a broken cipher 0. The continuations from both ends to complete the circle will make an odd-looking 0. I believe it is a letter C, a choice of the printer by mistake. |

I checked on my San Salvador collection and the 10 is just like yours. I wonder if all 10 c are the same. |

Interesting. Thanks for checking. I'll just call it normal, and move on to the next problem. |

After I carefully studied the cliches, I think we both have the stamp from the same position in the sheet. Exasmine the arrangement of the framelines and the right frameline has a break close to the top. What a small world. |

OK, I rescanned with a black background with better resolution and replaced in the original posting. Yes, it does look like the exact same plate position. Very small world indeed.
I hope some other SCF user has the same stamp so we can try for 3 out of 3. |

Not to dwell on this topic for too much longer, but I scanned my 5 centavos and see the exact same break in the outer frame. In fact, I also see the same filled in first "a" on the far right underlying "salvador". Quite interesting. If you have the same copy of this stamp, then something odd is going on ... |

Yes, my 5c as well as the 50c have the identical framelines with the break in the left line at the same place. I think these 3 values share the same setting just by changing the values. You don't have a 50c in your set. |

I have the 50 centavos (an absolutely miserable copy), and it also has a break in the right side of the frame, but it is much, much lower. Still, interesting to see how well it matches up with others. |

The 50c I have has identical frameline set up as the 5c and 10c. Your is sure totally different than mine. We need plating information on these stamps from the El Salvador Philatelic Society. |

I bought a mixed lot a year or so ago which contained a big envelope of these two El Salvador officials. They appear to have some value which is surprising given the amount contained. Is there a market for these? They are beautifully engraved nonetheless. |
