Hi!
I have two spare Scott albums - a Big Blue International and a green with the red binding Scott International. I want to prepare one of them for an upcoming ebay sale. As the Big Blue is missing several pages, if I decided to sell it, I would donate the needed pages from the "green" album.

With the stamps being equal, which has the better potential for a higher sale - a Part 1 Big Blue with an average cover and some yellowed pages - OR - a 1947 copyright Scotts "green" International album in complete/above average condition?

I really hate to sacrifice the green album, but that's the only cheap source of replacement pages.

Thank you,
Mobilman44

Maybe someplace like Kinko's (are they still around?) could photocopy the missing pages on heavy stock, then you trim and punch holes. I guess this depends on how many pages are missing. What are each of the albums worth, if complete? I don't have a clue.

If the green/ red International is hard bound ( right?) , they are not as much in demand compared to a Big Blue 2 post loose leaf album. In times past, collectors used hard bound albums- today, not so much.

Jkjblue, you are always "right on" and I was thinking the same way - but just not sure.

I hate to sacrifice the green, but it does seem to be the logical choice. Of course I can hold on to it for future back up pages in my own Part 1.

Regarding Doug's comment, yes, Kinko's is still around. There are at least two FedEx-Kinko's outlets within several miles from my house. Fed Ex bought them out several years ago.
