Hi!
I recently acquired a collection containing various stamps designated "allied military postage" for France, Germany, and Italy.

Obviously these were issued by the US at the end of WWII, but I was wondering if they normally go with those countries or the US in albums. Also, if with the US, are they BOB or ???

Thanks all!

Scott lists the stamps with the individual countries - Germany and so forth. They are back of the book items for those countries as they are considered occupation stamps.

Thanks Battlestamps!
Yes, I found all three countries selections in my Scotts Part II album. The ones I have are unused. I tend to think these are pretty common and not worth much........... is that true?

Most are common especially mint stamps, but some have better catalog values in postally used condition and on cover. If you have access to the Michel German catalogs you can also flyspeck for plate flaws and find other printing variations - there's many!

Thanks all!

I found it strange that the stamps in question were in the USA part of a Scotts international album - and yet proper spaces for them exist in the same album in the specific user countries. It's ironic that I've recognized German and Japanese issued occupation stamps since I was a youngster, but this is my first experience with US issued occupation stamps. Ha, old dogs can learn.............
