Hi,
In trying to find a really good "keeper" Big Blue Part II album, I picked up three of them off of ebay. The first two were about 3 1/2 - 4 inches thick. This is on par with the Part 1s.

The third one is identical in all respects (or so it appears) except it is 3 inches thick - a solid 1/2 inch thinner than the others.

After going thru it page by page, and realizing it had the same number of pages as the others, I did a micrometer check on page thickness. Yes, the new album pages are a good 10-15 percent thinner than the others.

The thin one is copyright 1950, the others are 1953. The ironic thing is, the older, thinner pages seem to be a better quality than the newer thicker ones........

Anybody out there have insight on this???

Thanks all, I really appreciate your help!
