Sorry, I can't post a photo, but I just finished sorting out the Belgium section of my collection and I came across a perfin on a Scott #68. It's simply the initials E.B.

Can anyone shed some light on this perfin variety, any information, would be greatly apppreciated!

I don't have a Scott Belgium catalog.... but this is probably a similar item. "E.B." belongs to E.Bede of Brussels.

Yes, that's it! Hopefully a Belgium collector will shed so more light on the subject! Thanks for replying!

Anything really? Is there any additional information about E. Bede of Brussels. I like the history of the pieces!

In Belgium in the 1870's 'E. Bede' was issued a number of patents, including improvements to railway carriages, a continuous kiln, a steam generator feeder and improvements in steam engines. I presume that's our E. Bede.
