I was going through some of my Dad's stuff today looking for his World War II pics, medals, etc. to share with my students next week. I found a Scott's 1937 Modern Postage Album with dozens of hinged stamps, and hundreds of world wide stamps loose between the pages. Underneath the album was a cigar box that was also full of world wide stamps, many of them MNH. Jackpot! The album is in excellent condition, as are the stamps. The loose stamps in the album seem to be sorted by country. None of them are stuck together & there is very little yellowing of the album pages. I had absolutely no idea that my Dad was ever a collector. The irony? I only started collecting about 6 months ago, and I chose U.S. classics because it seemed somewhat manageable. Now I'm world wide!
