If anyone knows what these are could you share your knowledge with me? I been thinking of putting these in the auction section but unsure where to put a starting price? Or how to properly list them? Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for any insight. -Jeff

Morning Jeff!
Don't know much about the Canal Zone or Paraguay but you got four U.S. in the Philippines there too. Those guys are like the American Washington/Franklins or Canada's small Queens. Many variations in colour, perfs and watermarks (with and without). I find them a bit of a challenge.
Don't think there's a lot of value (just glancing at it) though a quick check in the catalogue shows a couple of those Canal Zone overprints come in at a couple of bucks each.
If I were you, I'd start a dollar or dollar and a half and see where the interest takes it.
Others may disagree. Nice lot though.

Taking a gander at the Phillipine stamps (4-7 in top row)

4 and 5 are O5. The color difference is intriguing as the original stamp Scott 241 has a variety that is yellow-green (241a). There is no mention of color differences in the official stamps (OB stands for Official Business).

The 6th stamp will be impossible to definitively identify by scan as there is a similar issue with a different watermark. My guess, though is Scott 262 Carmine Lake.

I will not even hazard a guess on the seventh stamp. I suspect is either Scott 245, 265.

The OB overprints are interesting because there are so many variations. There are a couple of threads here about them.
The purple one is a hand stamp. Later the OBs were applied on a press, the black version shown. Others can be found hand written or applied on a typewriter (remember those?)>
