Has anyone had trouble with their Heirloom binders tearing at the top of the spine? I have only had the set for a month or so, and I really like it, but the binders are really cheesy. I guess that's why they can offer the set so cheaply. You get's what you pay's for. Anyway, I'm going to send an email to Mystic with a small jpg of the binder in question and see what happens. Actually, they have been very good about these kinds of things in the past. I found that the supplement that was included with the Heirloom set had the holes improperly punched, and they promptly replaced the supplement.
I have had my Mystic albums for some time now. I have had no problems with them up to this point. I agree that they are not the best binders but I do love the pages that come with them.
I have open one of mine every day for the past four months without a problem. I do have 7 of them after buying a few more to spread out the US collection.
While the plastic cover is softer than a regular store binder I think they are an above average binder.
I would go back to Mystic for a replacement like you stated.
