I'm not trying to contact them. Just curious if they browse posts or even have accounts.

I doubt they're interested in anything we have to say -- and we're expected to pay to hear anything they say |

The real problem with what we have to say, from their perspective, is we all have something different to say. |

The only person I remember, and I haven't seen anything from him recently on any philatelic discussion group, is Charles Snee who is a Senior Editor. He is still active on Twitter although you will have to be willing to put up with non-philately related posts.
I think Cal516 is right on the mark with his comment that "the real problem with what we have to say, from their perspective, is we all have something different to say." I've seen this most with the firm of Stanley Gibbons where their reps have tried periodically to participate on another board. |

While there may not be any "official" presence, it wouldn't surprise me if they occasionally monitor sites such as this (and some competitors, too, I presume). Same thing for people at the USPS or other stamp related websites. It's not that anything we say here will influence their decisions, but it stands to reason that many want to simply keep in touch with what stamp collectors might have focus on.
After all, most of us touch base with any number of different sites when we purchase a product or service or seek out what others may be thinking about a specific subject. In fact, to Google search any specific stamp related subject often brings one to comments made on this very site.
I agree many of our differing opinions may not lead to anything other than a feel for the pulse of what some of the stamp collecting public may be thinking. |

If you try and contact Stanley Gibbons directly through the the PM system or email, you will get banned. It's OK to respond to posts from SG, but direct contact without going to the admin is verboten. |

I haven't seen any evidence of this, either, and I have 7700+ posts on SB. I would add that Sebastian, owner and operator of Delcampe, is an active (and welcome) participant. |

I've never heard of this either. I have my opinions of that board's owner and his Anti-American bigotry and churlish treatment of others, but that's another topic for another time.
I've never heard anyone complain (on that board anyway) about management snooping emails. I've seen it occur on some other hobby-related boards, but no philatelic ones. |

To get back on subject, I did talk/post to Charles Snee,Senior Editor on that other board .We talked about the excellent job they did with the Classic catalog and how each year they have been expanding it .I asked for a 1940-1970 catalog that would expand with a name like "The Golden Age of Philatey" .He said not while he was editor and no plans in that area. I would of like to ask about their plans on computer pages to modify their International Series but I didn't think he would make that public before they were ready to release it .I suspect they are working on something to get back into the album business.....remember this is me speculating what they are doing and planning. |
