Nice essays Lb, I finally have all the colours in those now. I saw an article on the last two airmail essays somewhere recently, but where I have no idea. Here is something I just found on the 1936 New York Exhibition. Notes: The Brit Empire Gold was won by an Australian stamp Looks like a "Farley's folly" minisheet was used and famous french Dealer, Theodore Champion was there. I wish I had been there mingling |

Here's a little beauty that has been lying around in my mess for a while. Just now discovered that the market value is £30 ! Issued by the Union of Polish Philatelists for two Exhibitions in Birmingham and London, April/May 1966, under the banner "Polphilex '66". The central stamp was engraved by Czeslaw Slania which most likely accounts for the high market price. [British Stamp Exhibitions, Morgan/Wilson, 2010] An absolute beaut. Londonbus1....another crossed off the list |

Just ran across this Vatican City sheet for a show in France in 1989. I didn't own it even ten minutes before some chowderhead was kind enough to let me know it is worthless. If only I'd known... I was hoping it would be included in Unificato's VC listings, but alas it was not to be. |

"Free advice is cheap" as they say Collin How can <anything> be worthless? when something like a smile has inestimable value. |

The 1926 International Philatelic Exhibition, held at the Grand Central Palace, New York. The first US Souvenir Sheet was issued at this Exhibition. A Sheetlet of 25 2c White Plains issue was available only at the Exhibition and from the Post Office Philatelic Agency. If anyone has a sheet, I'd love to see one posted here. The top of the sheet bears the show inscription and dates. Here is an advertsing label from the Show. Londonbus1 |
