I've previously (last year) posted a bit about some of my endeavors-- hoping to do my "bit" towards keeping the stamp collecting hobby going.

As some may know, I'm actually a writer by trade (at least in part), and one of the things I like to do now and then is write about stamp collecting... with the ambition of putting my words in front of non-collectors (or former collectors) with the hope of perhaps getting them interested in collecting stamps, or just taking that first step... learning more about it.

I'm still waiting for one of my editors (I mostly write for the self-development industry) to indulge me and publish one of my "off topic" pieces... in the meantime, I have placed a few stamp collecting articles on what is definitely NON-philatelic self-publishing platforms.

This latest one is a fairly "light and fluffy" piece on a non-philatelic web site... it's getting a fair number of views, all things considered-- I never know quite what to expect. When I write about stamps it's normally on my blog which is very definitely FOR stamp collectors. This one is more or less addressed to those who might thing "STAMP collecting? Do people still DO that?"

Did the Internet Kill Stamp Collecting?

Comments and feedback always welcome!

I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing. It's nice that you could include some stamp pictures in your story.

Cheers,

Nice article.

You've got to admire the Danes...for using a stamp depicting a topless sunbather with long blond hair who is sitting alone on an isolated stretch of beach to encourage tourism. I wonder if it had an impact.

Peter that was a great article! Do you allow others to read your stamp collecting blog?
