Hello All.

I've just done documenting my Asia part of my collection and have moved on to the half way point with Europe. I've been stumped by these few stamps and would like your help in identifying them. If you could kindly give the Scott number, since that is the catalog that I use, or even year of the stamp if you don't use Scott I would be grateful. So without further ado here they are.

Albania

1)

Bulgaria

2)

3)

4)

5)

6)

7)

This stamp is confusing because its the first instance I've seen "Bulgarie" instead of the usual "Bulgaria". Is it a typo or what?

8)

Croatia

I have a couple of these stamps with different designs. My scott catalog doesn't seem to list them or I don't know if I'm looking at the wrong place.

9)

Thank you for helping!

Don't have my catalog or stamps with me but clearly #2 is 1969 as shown on the stamp. It commemorates the 1800th anniv. Of Silistra and was issued in Sept 1969.

Your #9 from Croatia was never officially released and it is a 'cinderella' stamp which came from a set.

Therefore, you probably will not find it in most established catalogues.

From 2011 Scott:

1) Albania #863(6Oct1965)

2) Bulgaria #1807(Oct1969)

3) Bulgaria #11(10Apr1881, p14.5x15) or #209/#209a(1928, p13, check color)

4) Bulgaria #1040(29Nov1959)-- my Scott says 1959, but it may be 1958

5) Bulgaria #887(20Apr1956, lilac red on cream) -- based on the color appearance of your stamp on my monitor, you should verify

6) Bulgaria #53(20Apr1901)

7) Bulgaria #294(1936)

8) Bulgaria #316(1938)

9) not listed in Scott; see the following links

According to Michel, your 2nd stamp was issued on 22Sep1969 -- consistent with the Sep1969 date provided by HungaryForStamps. It would appear the Oct1969 date given in the Scott catalog is in error.
