I'm looking for information on a 1949 Republique D'Haiti Bicenteniare International Exhibition 10 centime stamp.

Anyone?

Thanks~

Scott only lists 3 stamps issued in 1950 -- a 10 centime Coat of Arms for the 200th anniversary (in 1949) for the founding of Port-au-Prince, and two airmails (30 centime Columbus and 1 gourde Dumarsais) for the same event.

None of them are worth over 50c. No stamps were actually issued during 1949 except 8 different colors of identical 5c Postal Tax stamps showing Washington, Dessalines, and Bolivar.

You must be referring to Scott #384, which, as Doug2222 said, was issued in 1950, but celebrating 1949. It was printed by Waterlow.

But #384 seemingly has nothing to do with an Exhibition?

Lifted image:

It seems the exhibition went on into 1950?

Yes, but there's nothing on that stamp about an Exhibition, just the 200th anniversary of the capital, Port-au-Prince. The OP may have the stamp on a cacheted envelope, or a commemorative postmark.
