Scott only lists 3 stamps issued in 1950 -- a 10 centime Coat of Arms for the 200th anniversary (in 1949) for the founding of Port-au-Prince, and two airmails (30 centime Columbus and 1 gourde Dumarsais) for the same event.
None of them are worth over 50c. No stamps were actually issued during 1949 except 8 different colors of identical 5c Postal Tax stamps showing Washington, Dessalines, and Bolivar.
Yes, but there's nothing on that stamp about an Exhibition, just the 200th anniversary of the capital, Port-au-Prince. The OP may have the stamp on a cacheted envelope, or a commemorative postmark.
