This discovery may have been made accidentally rather than by someone going out of their way to find it. Usually, great discoveries are found by those who stumble upon them accidentally rather than by those who are intentionally actively searching for them or pursuing them like a treasure hunter. Someone may have been soaking an old stamp hinge off of what they thought was their used copy of Canada # 24 when they may have noticed some horizontal lines in the paper as the stamp was drying. This may have peeked their curiosity as to the possibility that it may be potentially Canada # 32 which has laid lines in the paper. To be sure, the stamp was sent out for expertizing. Thus, it may not have been found by someone who was researching and checking all of the Canada # 24 that they could find and come across in circuit books, dealer stocks, auctions, etc. who made this philatelic find. This is interesting to note.
