I didn't know that they still exist (didn't see that anybody use them recently), but saw them today in my P.O., and bought a couple of sheets.

Because the "Registered Mail" for the overseas mustn't be fixed with a Scotch (or any other) tape (Croatian inner regulations), this is a great solution to seal the more or less valuable mail easy and cheap.

Entire sheet (5 pairs of seals = 10 seals) of these self adhesive pieces costs 1.1kn (about 20 cents). Every seal has 3 straight lines notched over the entire design, so, they cannot be detached without being damaged at all.

I suppose that they need to be postmarked before sending, but don't know for sure... prior I will use them for the first time.

Hey I like those! Funny because just recently I seen an old US seal used as postage but it had what's called a "mute" doughnut style cancel on it and the address was obviously typed in with a typewriter at a later date. It was almost certainly done as a favor cancel and contrived cover. But I was curious if any countries still make and use such stuff?

I think that many countries have similar products, but people just don't know about that. Btw. it is sad that 150 ago have existed some beauties like the one bellow, and today we have small stickers or just a tapes...
