What a great friend .. I need one like that. My first look through didn't spot anything extraordinary, but there is definitely some potential. You should get those stamps off some of those pages, and the mold/residue could damage them, if not already so. Have fun exploring and be sure to keep us informed!

Nice pile of stamps. Especially those pages of Indian States. But I'd agree with Partime and remove them from those pages, particularly the photo albums. They're very bad for stamps.

As our friends, I don't see anything extraordinary. On the areas that I know (Europe), all stamps are very common. For instance I won't even pay 0.01 $ for any of the Spanish stamps shown. Another thing are Indian States. There seems to be some potential on these pages. But, we've here an expert to give a far better advice.

But first: try to save your stamps from these photo pages.

I'm afraid I don't see anything obviously good among the Indian States either. However, you'd need to check over them individually against a Gibbons India or British Commonwealth catalogue to be sure. There are a great many possible errors and varieties in Travancore, and some of the other States might also repay a closer look.

A word of warning, though: I did notice the usual quota of fakes and reprints etc among them, as well.

It is nice to have stamps in sets for collecting or selling even.

Years ago, from a stamp dealer, a person would have paid a small amount for these because the dealer would need a portion to cover his expenses and a profit.

Most of the fun is in the collecting and investigating and the hunt for that missing stamp or set.
