Endicott Philatelic Club (1932) And Spaulding's Bread

Here's a curious cinderella currently being offered for sale on ebay:



Does anyone know what the connection would have been between the Endicott Philatelic Club and Spaulding's Sunshine Vitamin D Bread? The two entities seem so far removed from each other unless, back in the day, perhaps the "Philatelic Club" was made up of members from the bread company?

As far as I can tell, the Spaulding Bread Company had several bakeries in upstate New York and northeastern Pennyslvania, but apparently declared bankruptcy in the middle 1950s following which the company was apparently dissolved.

Based on this vintage newspaper ad from 1932, it seems that some of the Spaulding's Sunshine Vitamin D Bread advertising copy was rather questionable, especially by today's standards:
