Great card stampfan

What I particularly like about this Cinderella stamp is that it is properly 'tied' by the cancellation of the era too which adds to the genuiness of the usage.

Simply wonderful.

As a collector of Flags on Cinderellas, I find that cover extremely desirable.
I have never seen the label before. Can you scan it close-up for me ?

I don't know if there's any connection, but "America First" was a slogan used in Woodrow Wilson's presidential election campaign. Could the label be referring to that rather than the war? But then again, if it were, under those conditions I suppose the presidential candidate's name would appear on the label.

Without any proof whatsoever, I was thinking that it was an ethnic community label expressing patriotism for the USA.

I think you're essentially right. After further review, I found that the Library of Congress website has information concerning an organization that was in place around 1917 referred to as "The National Americanization Committee" under the leadership of Frances Kellor. Here's an excerpt from a book on the subject that shows their slogan changed to a blunt "America First":
