Well, that is generous of you, and since you asked, I collect covers postmarked in Yakima (pre 1950), anything North Yakima, any Seattle cancels prior to WWII, and anything postmarked in Newfoundland prior to it becoming a Province of Canada. Message me if you run across anything and thanks! |

That is a pretty open-ended offer, and I'm sure you'll get lots of interest. I'll send you an email with some generic needs, and I am happy to reciprocate, if I can. |

I mainly collect Minnesota, Hawaii and Alaska covers. I also collect 5cent rate to foreign destinations, Territorial covers, A10 & A25 types, stampless covers and anything else I see that gets my interest, primarily 19th century. |

U.S. Scott # 606 used on cover from 1923 to 1929 which is very hard to find. First day covers are easier to find than regular use covers even though FDC's are not common. Also, later out of period usage are also mostly found too. What happened is that Scott # 599 was issued earlier in the year (January 1923 vs December 1923) so that it got used the most and mostly. There are a lot of mint stamps of Scott # 606 available too, but used ones are much much scarcer. In a period of over 20 years, I have only been able to find 3 such covers. The Scott catalogue does not seem to yet recognize how scarce used period covers really are. |

Scott's places the same value for a used 606 as it does a used 599. I think a properly used 606 is harder to find than even a used 599A, and Scott's does put a premium on the 599A. When something hits minimum value, it doesn't really matter how common it is compared to other minimum value stamps. It has bottomed out. In reality 599 should be valued at about a half of a penny. I always pick up the "common" coils on cover when I see them in a bargain box. I especially like horizontal perf ones. I do think they are hard to find and undervalued on cover. I have less than 20 606's on cover and I have been collecting covers for 48 years. |

Anything to do with Ohio, especially Dayton. ( which I just got outbid on a cover I really wanted. At work and couldn't raise my bid. There is something to be learned there.... Bid your most first.) |
