The spell checker no longer works. Its amazing how much I rely on it for nearly all documents. Often taken for granted but sorely missed.
Hopefully, its something that can be easily fixed. It acts like it works but doesn't highlite the errors and says all is well. I know that can't be right because my spelling is usually the result of fat finger keystrokes.

Although this has nothing to do with stamps, on the subject of Spell Checker, I thought you might enjoy this old poem:

Quote:
Eye halve a spelling chequer,
It came with my pea sea;
It plainly marques four my revue,
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.

Eye strike a key and type a word,
And weight four it two say;
Weather eye am wrong oar write,
It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maid,
It nose bee fore two long;
And eye can put the error rite,
Its rarely ever wrong.

Eye have run this poem threw it.
I am shore your pleased two no;
Its letter perfect in it's weigh,
My chequer tolled me sew.

Art,
This forum uses Google spell checker and is activated by calling three javascript files (googiespell.js, AmiJS.js, cookiesupport.js). As such make sure that you have javascript enabled in your browser and that your firewall isn't blocking javascript.

Additionally if you are using Chrome browser you need to make sure that you have "Enable spell checking" checked in Advanced options. (Chrome menu > Settings > Show Advanced Settings > Languages > Languages and Spell-checker Settings)

All of that being said I have to agree that it appears to be broken. I checked using IE 9 and FF 5 and when I hit the 'check spelling' button it changes the font like it processed the entry but does not recognize the misspelled words. I first noticed this about 1-2 weeks ago.

I am currently working around the issue by using Firefox which will underline misspelled words even without the Google spell checker.

Hi

If you are using Internet Explorer, IE, you could use this:

http://www.iespell.com/

I have been using it for a while now and it seems to be adequate.
