I'm looking for a good reference book for early U.S. Cancellations. The one that comes to mind is "United States Cancellations 1845-1869"
by Hubert C. Skinner I believe its from the APS.

Is there another work that someone would care to provide a brief review. Better yet, someone that would be willing to part with an extra copy of the above?

Which type of cancellations are you interested in? There are several volumes each dealing with a different brand of machine cancel.

Hey Art,
The Skinner & Eno book is a great reference for fancy cancels, but if you're looking for town cancels, please let me know if you find a good reference, because I'm looking for the same thing.

There is a series of references by Richard Helbock on post offices with rarity information but I don't know if that is the way to go or not. If I hear more, I'll let you know. Ray
