I just bought this package in October (in Canada).
I'm not going to return them to the store but thought I'd share on the forum instead:

Not only are these badly cut with an extra tail, many are joined together. Lots of them are scrunched up. It's a bit of a nuisance and offends my sense of order (slight OCD tendencies I guess). Is this normal for this brand?

My main concern is that they do not peel off as easily as other hinges and I'm worried that they may be damaging the stamps.

Opinions on hinge brands please. Thanks.

Looks like they may have gone through a time of high humidity. Had a batch of hinges looking the same after the summer heat and humidity. Some of the ones I had actually ended up folded backwards and such that they wouldn't stick until I folded them the other way.

Aren't these just poor modern copies of the original "FOLD-O-HINGES" (see below).

Agreed, it's an off-brand copycat. Here's what the "genuine" (albeit, now discontinued) Fold-O-Hinge package would have looked like:

Looks like this series of messages proves the same thing ... the ones made by Unitrade are inferior Fold-O-Hinges. You need to be certain to use the ones with the "Harold Cohn" name on the package. Of course, they're discontinued:

I had very good luck with super safe hinges . I keep them in a freezer bag and place them in the freezer to keep humidity from curling them .

The Unitrade are like construction adhesive, they do not peel. I will only use original Dennison hinges, at around $15.00 a package, they are well worth it.
