Hello Same,

Nice stamp--thanks for sharing. It is either Scott/Unitrade #1 from 1857 or it could also be 15A or 15Ac from 1861-1862

There is already a thread on the differences which should help you determine which one it is.

https://goscf.com/t/33841#33841

The Catalog Value is not a big difference ($150 for VF for #1, $200 for VF for #15A, $250 for 15Ac). Having the back be NH is significant more value.

Here is an image of my 15Ac, so that you can see how different they all are.

Do you have any more Newfoundland stamps to share?

Based on your image, which is hard to see details, here is my take of the Newfoundland stamps you appear to have:

There are none on the left page, except perhaps at the bottom where your flash obscures them (i would advise you to get a scanner if you really want the community to help you precisely).

You have several Newfoundland on the right page, as follows:

1. Top row, position 1-5 for sure: these are from 1857 to 1861 (the Pence Issues) and potentially quite valuable. If you want the precise details, please scan those five stamps (and it would be worth your while to know). These stamps have catalog value from $100 to $30,000 on the high end.

2. Sixth row: these are all Newfoundland stamps, as follows:
First one is either #46 or #47 (green or deep green). CV Unitrade 2011=$18to$40 Used VF or $60 to $140 Mint VF
Second is #53 or #54 or #55 depending on color. Between $60 and $500 depending on Mint and condition
Third appears to be imperforated, so #40. VF Used=$20, VF Mint=$350
Fourth one looks like #41 or 42 or 43 depending on color. Range of $16 to $175 depending on condition and used/mint.
Fifth one is hard to distinguish but looks like #34 or #39 ($100 to $550)
Last one in this row has to be Prince Albert, #27--if centered well this could be valuable. Range of $80 to $550 if on thin yellow paper

3. Seventh row:
First stamp is probably #44 or #45, depending on color, its a value range of $5 to $40.
Second stamp is probably #34 or #39 (like above).
Third and fourth stamps on this row are not Newfoundland.
Last stamp is old, and either #3 or #11A. Could be $400 to $700 if #3 (VF Values) or $100 to $120 if #11A.

All the other stamps on this page are not Newfoundland--probably Canada.

All my comments above are based on quick take of your poor image, so take it with a grain of salt. Condition is key to value, as is the back. If any of these have original gum and non hinge, they might be worth 100-200% more (but this is subject to discussion).

If you have time, scan them individually and send to me, I would be happy to help

Thank you for sharing

1st and 4th NFLD pence issues (especially first one) looks to be orange /vermillion rather than rose so definatly worth a better image. Many very well done forgeries but worth a look.
