Hi,

I believe the attached stamps to be Danish, being 1854 -1857 Royal Emblem - Dotted Background and 1864 -1870 Royal Emblem - New Drawing. I'm just struggling with the definition of the colours....

Is the 4S red or Carmine? I thought it looked orange.
Is the 3S purple or purple pink?
Is the 8S yellow brown?

Help with identification much appreciated!!

HI
yes they're Danish stamps.
quality aside, then they are some of the more valuable ones (had they been intact)
they are as you have determined. the 4sk perf 14 is red, carmine is darker red.
