Hi,
I know it would have been beneficial if the condition of this stamp had been better than what it is. But would there be any value in its present state?

Poor penny blacks go for about 10 GBP on ebay, so about that or slightly less I would suggest.

Thanks for that Peter.
I have a few more stamps that I need to value over time. Would this be the section to put them on?

The total number of Penny Black stamps issued in 1840 was around 63.5 million. The number of Penny Black plate 1a and 1b issued was just over 10 million.

What you have is a Plate 1b Penny Black which might have been a nice four margin stamp at one point until the mice nibbled it . Not worth much but worth keeping after giving it a gentle clean to improve it.
