I am not sure anyone can help here .. not sure if this is a problem with my own system or with the product. I bought an online subscription to the Steiner Stamp Album Pages. I downloaded a few countries, which now lie as PDFs on my desktop.
I want to print selected pages from the downloads. ... Let's say, Finland in this case.
I find the pages I want - pages 7, 8 , 9
But when I try to print, I don't seem to have that option. I pull down the arrow next to the little file at the top of the opened PDF - and there are a few options. But the "print" option is grayed out and I cannot select it.
Anyone have any ideas for me? It's a new computer with Windows 7.

Try just right clicking on the page and select print if you got that option. Then go from there. |

Do you have Photoshop, or other image management software, that you can link your printer into? You can then open the page you want in Photoshop (or whatever) and size, modify, and print from there.

Check your printer is selected as default printer and that's its got the green check mark by it. Make sure the desktop icons are not shortcuts to the online pages . You should be able to download all the pages by "saving as". Hover the mouse over the icon and see if it is a HTML web page its taking you to. Which won't let you print them unless you purchase them. centerstage98, I tried several things and could not reproduce the issue you are having. The only thing I could think of is maybe you do not have your printer drivers installed, so the print option is not available due to the software not seeing a printer. Just a guess.
FYI, I am running 7 64bit with Adobe Reader XI.

Personally I hate Adobe Reader. I use the free PDF X-change viewer. I have also been please with Foxit Reader, also free. In PDF X-change viewer the print dialog box is quite straight forward on letting you choose what pages to print or not. Just my 2¢ |

I am not sure what you mean by " I pull down the arrow next to the little file at the top of the opened PDF - and there are a few options. But the "print" option is grayed out and I cannot select it."
All I do is open the downloaded PDF file that is on my hard drive than (Windows 7) go to the top of the window and click on File than print. That opens up my Print window which shows my printer and all the various options such as printing the entire PDF file or just printing certain pages or printing in reverse order. Never had a problem.
Good luck.

Thanks for all the advice, though my problem is not solved.
I have downloaded all the pages for a few countries and they are in PDF files on my desktop and all act the same.
My printer is set up correctly and properly linked to my computer - have used it several times.
I do not have Photoshop.
rascal - the problem is, when I pull down from the FILE tab, the PRINT option is grayed-out - meaning it cannot be selected.
It is not a problem with the specific Stamp Album Pages file; I went to another PDF file on my hard drive and have the same problem. There is no working option to print it.
Perhaps someone else has an idea of what I am doing wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Open the PDF file in Acrobat Reader, right click the document and select Print. Let us know whether you encounter any problems in these steps. As suggested above, I would ensure you have the latest version of Reader installed: http://get.adobe.com/reader/Some things to note: - If the PDF file is password protected you might not be able to print etc. - Also, while your printer is setup properly, you were asked whether it is set up as the default printer. Not sure why that would matter, but you never know. See this page for trouble-shooting Acrobat printing problems: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/t...t-reader.htm |

Here is an idea: when in adobe, click view, then show/hide then toolbar items, then file, and see if print is checked or not. If not, check it. Good luck! |
