Hi again Coinwatcher
The chances that the mark is red ink can likely be rated as somewhere between remote and non-existent. There is not a chance that any printing press in any print shop would run a green job and have it contaminated with red ink. There definitely is something on the stamp but we do not possess the tools to do an elemental analysis of the contaminant and would, therefore, not likely state an opinion as to its origin. The certificate would likely state something like "Scott #225 with random foreign substance markings, otherwise genuine in all respects". I don't think that is what you are looking for and I don't think anyone is going to pay huge $$$ for the stamp. I suggest that you keep it in a collection of Freaks and Oddities where it is aworthwhile addition.

If I send "Man on the Falls" into the Greene Foundation and they confirm that it is actually red ink from production what would this stamp be classified as?

A miracle

Tony that is one of the best retorts I have heard in quite a while.

Thanks for making me laugh on a frigidly cold day here
in Arctic Canada.

I_Love_Stamps thinks the stain is tobacco but to me it still
looks like ketchup.

Great images though, keep up the good work COINWATCHER
