I searched and found the same as you. I notice that all the UL plate blocks of plate 1 seem to have the same little line you mention. To my opnion, a cracked plate would show a longer irregular line. |

R you speaking of that horizontal line in the UL corner? If so that could be a trimming line. |

I have a Canada 315 cracked plate. The crack is in the selvedge above stamp #2, it is approx.an inch long. It starts below "limited" and runs to the end of stamp. From the strength of the crack, I'd say it would run into the selvedge of the third stamp. |

Well, you figured it out! And yes, that is one of the best plate cracks I have ever seen! Thank you for posting.
Does anyone know how far this crack reaches?
And by the way, I have an idea that this is the Unitrade crack!

I'm going to assume that this crack is near the end of the run before it was noticed. Case being of the strong colour. There may be fainter cracks as to when the plate first began to crack. |

Could be. Although I have cracks on U.S. Transportation Coils that were there for a long time before anyone noticed. One can tell by the "evolution" of the crack. In your case, I wonder if they just sort of ignored it, since it was not affecting any stamps?

Can't be all that many if Unitrade lists them for $37, but then again who would pay that. Real Value probably around $15. |
