This cover was a Christmas present. Looking at it several times intently, I am getting the feeling that it is a fake. Could I get opinions, please. Thank you all Heinz55
It is genuine. In a time when UK/Argentina relations were "better", the UK allowed the Argentine forces to build a runway near Port Stanley in 1972. The cover would seem to commemorate the event. Remember that 1972 was 10 years before the Falklands War.
And that runway was the means through which the Argentine forces reinforced the islands...and was the first target when the British arrived to reclaim the islands.
