I know most of SG does not match Scott numbering.

Is number 10 the same for both?

Thanks.

Yeah, they're both the 6 pence reddish purple Albert imperforate, worth a mere $36,000 in VF mint condition.

In the 2014 Gibbons Part 1, "Dominion of Canada" starts at SG 46. Don't ask me why!

I think you'll find Colony of Canada a few pages in front of where you are, right ahead of New Brunswick.

Quite right! Starting at 46 seemed the height of eccentricity. SG 10 [i]is[/] a 6d greenish grey, £40,000 mint and £1200 used. A nice stamp (and it beats anything the Indian States have to offer. Top price there is for a Duttia SG 2b, at a trifling £38,000.)

Frankly, I think Albert bears a more-than-passing resemblance to the cross-dressing nawab wearing pearls and a pillbox hat. (Kishangarh? I forget...)

But as far as CV is concerned, yes, a nice stamp.

Separated at birth?

Seeing them side by side, maybe not, but images only their mothers could love.

[edit: I should that the Canada 10 is (sadly) not mine, and the Kishangarh is definitely not mine...tonymacg shared it a few years back.]

Ah yes, the Chinless Wonder and that dreadful portrait of the Maharaja of Kishangarh. Of course, he wasn't the only one with extravagant tastes in millinery:

Just answered my own question...lol

SG #10 is Scott #5. Can be very confusing.
