Is this one appears to be some kind of speciality, or just another example of the odd cancellation?

French military stamps were used across the French empire, and those with cancels that clearly show where they were used often do command premiums. My 2011-2012 edition of Maury Bureaux Francais, Anciennes Colonnies en Europe et Asie however does not list anything for use of the FM stamps in Indochina, though I have seen prices listed for other areas (Guadeloupe, St Pierre & Miquelon for ex).

Thank you, DJCMHOH. I don't have that catalogue (Bureaux Francais, Anciennes Colonnies en Europe et Asie), but, it sounds like a quality reference for this kind of stamp.
