Hi...Take a look at these Scott #287b and #287bi stamps...The 287bi stamp is cut a lot shorter than the other..No quality control here...Can anyone else see if their #287bi is the same...Thanks.

wert is referring to the indented cut of the top right margin. That does appear to be quality control failure to me.

Yes..you are correct...one was laid over the other to get an idea of the difference in lengths.
