A pleasant rainy day spent re visiting some shoe box's full of covers. Discovered this card to be the 23 teeth below the one cent.

Interesting how they become tiny and all bunched up on the right-hand side. Can't make heads or tails of the killer, but it looks interesting.

Not a clear strike on the killer. Might have been a 'T'.

There are a number of damaged teeth varieties of UX7. BTW, I only count 22 teeth. I don't have a reference handy but I would suggest a certificate from an expertising group like APEX or PF.

jobi01, after your post I counted using my scanned image above. Sure enough I only counted 22. I was kicking myself at that point. I had checked and double checked that card with my magnifying glass probably 10 times before I posted it here.

So I dug it back out and took another look. With the glass I can see 23. So I rescanned it. Now, that is more like it.

jobi01, would you agree this is the 23 version?
http://collectiblescentral.com/Read...?articleid=3 The example shown at this link shows the same marking between the 6th and 7th teeth counting from the right.

Certainly appears to be the catalog listed re-cut teeth variety but I still only count 22. Maybe one counts as a double? A certificate is still recommended.

OK, I counted from right to left and count 23. I blame the missing nose pad on my bifocals. Off to the store that sold me these expensive glasses that keep breaking.

jobi01, that's funny. My wife uses the cheap "readers" that she buys by the dozen it seems. They're all over the house, in the car, her backpack and purse......, yet she still, all to often, asks me if I've seen her glasses.
