These types of revenue stamps are not listed in Scott. I believe they are in one of the Springer revenue catalogs (but I don't have them to check). Maybe one of our esteemed revenue specialists will chime in.

Yeah springer catalog but sadly I don't own one. Does that last one look a little funky to you?? That almost modern looking "tribal work" either was added later or maybe a possible essay or maybe just a bad m&m revenue? I personally never seen that one before but that don't mean a whole lot really. I do collect tobacco related stuff but the revenues give me a headache but they can be quite beautiful.

The bottom one is RN-B13. The appropriate Springer catalogs are essential for collecting the top two in any kind of even remotely serious way.

Thanks. I don't have Spriger catalogue and it explains a lot

2nd stamp is 'series of 1883'

I have also 1c tobbaco with moreless similar design as I posted for 2c. Serie on 1c is from 1878. Do you know Scott#?

Last question from tobbacos is this 6c.

This is Springer TE113, and it is for six OUNCES, not six CENTS. The values of the various tobacco stamps are always in weight not money. That was always the excuse Scott gave for not listing them.
This is also what is known as an "1879 provisional issue". The red handstamp was to change the tax rate from 32 cents to 16 cents per pound. It reads, Issued Under Act, Mar. 1, 1879. Tax 16 Cts. per Lb.
A very nice stamp, retail value probably somewhere in the $60-$75 range.

There are different types of tobacco stamps, for cigars, cigarettes, tobacco, chewing tobacco, and snuff, and it does make a difference which they are. As a general rule, cigarette and cigar stamps tend to be the most common, with tobacco next, and snuff and chewing tobacco the least common overall. Obviously there will be some cigarette stamps that are scarcer than some snuff stamps, but that is a good general order.
